We were never going to be beaten today against 7 man mellor but what disheartens me most is the backchat i recieve during the half time team talk and from players on the field of play. Now down to the match itself right from the outset the saints dominated culminating in a cheeky back flick from reece to open the scoring then a thunderbolt from curtis from outside the box followed by a further 3 quick goals 2 from dec and a further goal from reece and then mellor got their consolation goal just before half time which was thourghly deserved. Into the second half and at last the saints started to pass the ball around and the next goal soon followed and was the goal of the game from bens corner dec doing an overhead scissor kick. Then another 2 quick goals followed from reece and curtis and then the last 15 mins we reduced our team to 7 the same as mellor. Still creating many more chances which only 1 was taken by mark. Finally we need to stop the backchat on and off the field and start to pass and move like we did at the beginning of the season and also more effort in training as the last 3 or 4 sessions have not been very good boys and we seem to be slipping back into old habbits. Finally take nothing away boys you are worthy champions and deserve all the accolades you recieve.

Valid point Paula, this backchat's been going on for a few weeks now and it seems to spread through the team, once one does it another has a go. The lads need to realise that we see a lot more in the game than they do and when James says to xxxxxxxx you should have played the early through ball etc etc accept it lads, more often than not he's right. :o Shouting back 'I did' or words to that effect don't cut it, you didn't or we'd have been through on goal. :?
There has to be discipline in every team and a lot of it is self discipline, if we have that then it's one less thing for the coach to worry about.

I knew someone would have all the scorers today   well done to all. As Paula says, 'Worthy League Champions' without doubt. 8)
Despite Mellor being men down they played the game in a sporting manner and I think enjoyed the penalty shoot out at the end. All good fun as it should be.

Another fantastic result for the rooks at the weekend, but we must remember to work as a team and respect others around you. James and myself give you advice on the training ground as well as the field in order to help you become better players, not because we want to criticise you in everyway.

Come on rooks lets pull together for the remainder of the season we only have 1 game left. Lets not spoil such a wonderful season now!

Forever proud to be coaching you, Daniel :D
