Rooks v Mellor Black

Rooks v Mellor Black

Well done Mellor, despite playing two men down you put up a decent show but it was always going to be one way traffic. :(

This is probably going to be one of my shortest comments since I started this. Rooks played like it was a training session, nothing wrong with that but it did affect the way you played. Your first touches were terrible at times and winning the second ball wasn't a priority. I can understand why you played that way but regardless of how depleted or poor the opposition is you have to play to your full potential every game.

Nice to see Marc and Matty at the back playing to their potential, some good tackling and laying off the balls, Jay as strong as ever contributed well. Well done Marc in scoring, not often you lads get up there for a shot. :D

Forgive me for not remembering who scored the goals, I can't even remember what the score was but the goal of the game has to be Decs overhead kick, what a pearler, not sure who was surprised most their keeper or Dec. 8)

That's another three points not that they mattered, last game next week, let's go out on a high with a win.
Well done to all the team, everyone got a good run out today I think. :D :D

I really enjoyed todays game, a nice relaxed atmosphere and for I think the only time this season have spoke to a very friendly opposition, I have taken some good photos of the lads will post on facebook.

It wasn't the best display of football but I do think the lads have a laugh and the pressure was of them. Shame that wasn't the last game of the season and I think next week they are going to make you work hard so hope you are all switched on. Good Luck xx

You're right Lindsay they weren't tested or challenged today, personally I don't enjoy it the same, it's great to win but when the lads have had to scrap and fight for it like they have done several times this year I get far more satisfaction from it. :D :D

Look forward to the pics, I've taken loads but it will be tomorrow before I get any on either Facebook or the website, all my batteries need recharging.  Knew last week I should have checked them all but thought they'd be ok.
