Saints vs. Mellor

Saints vs. Mellor

Mellor 7-1 Saints

Don't have enough time to make a match report so I'll just make a quick comment here.

We may have lost the game but we certainly didn't make it easy for them, the hard work and motivation we lacked last week was definitely there yesterday, and I think the scoreline did flatter Mellor a bit.

All the comments we got from the parents and supporters were 100% positive, I just hope you can continue like this in the rest of our games and try and improve on our final position last year.

Also I'd like to personally thank all the players for their attitude towards me and each other during the game, we need to understand that there are a lot of tough decisions I have to make during a game, but it makes my job much easier when the team can understand and respect them. I hate to have rifts in the team and it makes football much more enjoyable when we are all pulling in the same direction.

That sounds positive Tom, didn't see the game, well not much of it anyway because I was watching the Rooks on at the same time.

If you and the spectators were happy with the effort then that's all that can be asked. As you said sometimes the scorelines do flatter some sides but that's football for you. Wish you all the best next week, we won't see next weeks games because of personal commitments but three points from Sporting is a possibility.

Give it a go lads. :D
