A truly memorable day for the under 11's with a great victory over an academy team. Some of the goals and the passing today can only be described as awesome. A slow beginning which gradually built up to a crescendo of pressure with another contender for goal of the season from Jay Daniels with a 30yd strike to open the scoring and what I would class as my goal of the game an 8 man move with some great individual passing from one of the pitch to the other with Ben getting on the end of a fine cross from Curtis. Simply awesome! Then suddz broke away and coolly finished from the on coming keeper. Then a sloppy defensive error the only one of the half cost us a goal against us. Straight from the kick off Dec challenged for the ball brokke free from the defence and smashed the ball into the back of the net making the score 4-1 at half time.

Second half saints kept a total grip on the game and a superb suddz header from a Curtis cross made it 5-1 and a simple tap in at the end of the game from Reece finished the game.

May I just say that the 2 weeks we have been working on a certain move in training was put into practice today on the pitch with Ben's superb 2nd goal.

Hopefully we gave you all some great entertainment today with the a fine display of football and I would like to thank all the parents for their magnificent support.

Entertaining it was, apart from the first few minutes they were dominant in all areas. Top drawer football, I'd take that performance every game this season. 8)
