Fulledge Colts v Saints Cup semi final

Fulledge Colts v Saints Cup semi final

In the absence of a match report tough luck in your endeavours lads. What a way to go out in a semi final, panalties is never an ideal solution but that's the way the game is these days.
I hope the game was as good as the scoreline suggests and I'm sure there will be hard luck stories from both sides.
Well done again.

It certainly was a good game and one that the saints didn't deserve to lose but yet again bad linemen and referees made the game much harder for them with their dubious decisions.

Saints went 2-0 down within 10 mins of the game but a beautiful header from Ross brought them back into the game just before half time.

Second half and the saints really took the game with Joel Moorhouse scoring the second, plenty more opportunities came from the saints but we were unfortunate not to score taking the game into extra time. Again the saints bombarded Fulledge but just couldn't get that winning goal.

Penalties and we lost out 4-3 an unfair way in my opinion to decide a game at this age. Why it can't just be replayed is beyond me. Those little lads who missed were heartbroken and obviously Joseph was distraught but like we said Penalties are the hardest things to save.

Well done to each and everyone of those Under 10's you played your heart out and we were all extremely proud of you.
