Well lads, another defeat which was lost in the first half again although you did play better than you did last week. I think 7-1 was a flattering scoreline for them. 4-1 would have been more like it. You did have several chances but they went wide or over the top.
Tyrone scored our only goal again. If we didn't have Tyrone up front then we probably wouldn't score any goals at all. I just wish he could find his scoring feet, like he did a couple of weeks ago and bag alot more goals. I did threaten him at half time that he had to be in bed for 7pm next Saturday and that I was going to check on him. Didn't really mean it Tyrone. 9pm is early enough.
Personally, I think the match was lost by us before it had started due to mental attitude. By this I mean that Clitheroe Wolves are probably the best in your League and some of you are thinking 'we're not going to win anyway so why try'. You don't know if you don't try.
Defensively today we were poor again. Our lads could do with some sprint training as every time the opposition kick the ball forward we are caught on the break.
Nathan Crabtree (Beast) was fantastic in goal again and stopped their goal tally going into double figures. This has earned him Man of the Match
again for the 2nd week running.
I would like to mention the 'twinnies'. They both played well today. Going in for tackles and nipping at heels. They don't seem to give up. If they were bigger built and taller then no one would be able to get past them.
I don't mean to critise Tom and Nick but one is telling the lads one thing and the other something different. The lads are getting confused as they don't know who to take notice of.
Keep going lads. Next week is a different team and you CAN win no matter who they are!!!
Susan.
