First off well done to both teams on reaching the semi finals and giving it a go. We spectators saw some reasonable football from both sides and some great goalkeeping as well.
Lewis, you played out of your skin for Ravens and no doubt helped your team to where they got, well done lad. Nathan as solid as ever with some great stops and ever so brave keeping, you've got what it takes to be a great keeper. Sad again to see the keeper make a great stop only to be let down by no one being there to clear the ball, how many times did that happen during the season? What's also sad is seeing the keeper blame himself when there's no blame attached. All keepers have to bear in mind that if you're called on to make great saves someone else hasn't done the business.
You know by now to expect a bit of stick from me as well as the acolades so here it is, sorry lads you really do have to question your fitness, like all last year you ran out of steam and were totally outplayed in the semi's.
I've no doubt you gave all you had but that wasn't enough, I'd have to say that it's not football training you need but endurance training. There are a lot of good athletic coaches around and Saints could well do in investing in one.

Finally, what a great set off lads you are, superb ambassadors for both the Saints and for Padiham, I'd like to think that during the speaches at the presentation night that that fact is brought to the fore for all Saints teams.
As always we're proud to be Saints Supporters. Jon & Sue.

Well done everyone today, you all turned up and gave your all and both teams more than deserved to get to the semis. You couldn't have wished for a better day to play football, and I would just like to thank all the parents that came along to show their support for the club as well.

It wouldn't be fair for me to single out players for praise after today, I could see you all gave 100%, its just the kind of attitude we need through this upcoming season, and if we can keep it going we should be winning plenty of games.

As for your fitness levels, I think you all need to start getting out and about for at least an hour or two every day, put the remote down and go for a run, cycle, swim etc. or even better, pick a football up and go and have a kick around for a while. Much better than sitting at home, and you'll see your fitness levels improve drastically. I'll get you doing a bit of heavy training for these next few weeks as well, we would do well to get a head start on the competition, some of which will take long breaks for the summer.

As for tomorrows match against Darwen, remember you are all on the SAME TEAM! It's good to have some competitiveness among the squad, but once the whistle goes, you play for each other. I want to see more of that commitment and teamwork I saw today.

-Tom :)
