With nearly 70 spectators at the game, i thought this might have effected the lads but in fact it spurred them on fantasticly.
Saints beat Readstone 2 - 0 with goals from Bradley Ditch and Leighton Fishwick. But this was more about the courage and determination all of the lads showed. Josh was solid in the nets and dealed with any shots that came, and that weren't many as Declan Mcluskey and Baran Ozceuik were superb at the back and dealt with everything Readstone through at us. Levi Ostle sat in front of the Back 2 and picked up all of the second balls to clear to either Billy or Liam in the Midfield who then in turn caused Readstone no ends of problems in there link up play with Bradley Ditch upfront. With 10 mins to go Mason replaced Levi and Leighton replaced Liam. But this didnt show as both settled into the game right away with some excellent tackles and runs. It was Masons shot that led to leighton scoring the decisive second. Then Both Jamie and Joe came on for Baran and Declan to get a feel of being involved in this great occasion.
Bradley received there man of the match.
But my man of the match was all 11 of them. They have been a pleasure to coach and showed great listening and concentration throughout the season. And they all deserve a BIG WELL DONE !!
because WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!
