the lads did very well today played some excellent football on a very big pitch ,with the worst muppet ref ive ever seen ,and to put one more into the mix i saw one of the best solo goals by a 9 year old ive ever seen this morning by Ross Sykes who beat 5 players and banged it in the top corner but what pleased me even more is that he is slowly learning that he doesnt always need to take people on he can pass and then go for the return pass or play the through ball which he and luke williamson did very well today and if we would of showed a little bit more composure in front of goal the score line would of been in double figures ,i asked my defenders to be a little nasty in their challenges and they defended really well getting first to the ball as did all the midfield and thats why james crawford got man of the match ,this little fellow doesnt half like a tackle hes like a bad rash that wont leave opponents alone .big game on wednesday against colne .well done again boys you all make me proud .

Totally agree with you there Aidey. The lads played their socks off today we just need to be a bit more ascertive near goal the ball will get down to you so be prepared to finish it.

A quick mention about Ross it's the best I've seen him play since he came to the under 10's and I was so proud of those goals he scored and even setting up Ethan on the other goal. It's hard coming into a new team and like you said Aidey he's gaining confidence with the players that's why he's starting to pass.

Good luck to everyone on Wednesday a tough match if that's not putting you down but I'm sure you can rise to it. On some of the performances I've seen from you, you could give any team a run for their money. Keep training hard and listening to Aidey and these kind of results will keep on rolling in.

Bfield V Saints U10 0-3 win

I would just like to praise Aidy, Mark and of course the boys for putting the hard training into practice. Part of Thursdays training, focused on 'killing the ball dead' for the midfield/strickers & 'not letting the ball bounce' with the defenders i.e. when the goalie takes the kick, kill it dead & attack/pass; if your in defence 'get something on it & don't let it bounce over your head. I saw several players put this into practice during the game & it was a pleasure to watch; they looked hungry & could have easlily took the scorline into double figures, well done! :D :D :D :D

Great result lads. Aidy your defence sounds like my kind of defence, let the opposition forwards know they've been tackled not asked to dance.

Ross is a class playerespecially at that age group, he was good playing above his age and I'm sure he'll get you a shedfull of goals this year.
Well done to all. :D :D :D
