Arsenal v Burnley

Postby Jon on Sun Mar 08, 2009 2:24 pm

One nil down and playing like the Rooks on a bad day, they're not winning the second balls, lost the midfield completely but defending fairly well. That's where all the good tackling is. Could still be a surprise on the cards like Rooks have done in the past, a couple of flashes of brilliance is all it takes.

Arsenal playing with my philosophy, if you have the ball and attacking they can't score.

Arsenal 3 v Burnley 0

Postby Jon on Sun Mar 08, 2009 3:33 pm

Well they played a bit better in the second half and were beaten by three top class goals. Shame they didn't turn up in the first half. Who's this young McDonald who came on as sub, looks like he's the one that eats all the pies.

A lesson here for all Rooks teams, it's not the getting beat that has stigma attached it's the way you're beat. If you don't turn up for a game like Burnley did first half then everyone's let down especially the fans.

Glad they lost. How dare they knock Chelsea out of the Carling Cup.

Lost

I think every Burnley fan is glad they lost. I'm sure each and everyone of them would forego the FA cup for a chance of the playoffs or as daft as it sounds automatic qualification. 8) Not beyond the realms of possibility and mathematically on the cards.
